Ok, so here's my problem.

I pre-ordered Guild Wars: Factions on March 12th. I ordered from Best Buy, and the only thing I was sent was the retail version of the game, shipped on April 27th, arrived the next Tuesday(I dunno what the # of it is). I had contacted NC Soft earlier about the package, because Best Buy had sent me an e-mail telling me it would be shipped on the release date, and I was told "Mandy" that I would not be able to play in the 24 hour head start, but I would get everything else in the preorder package. So I put the access key in, loaded up my Assassin from the FPE, and the preorder item that I was suppose to have wasn't there(daggers).

So I contact NC Soft, about not having the preorder weapons. And they tell me various things to do in-game, and finally told me that I was suppose to receive a package from Best Buy with the preorder key in it. So I did. And Best Buy told me this:
I regret to inform you that the pre order key for Guild Wars was only
offered to us by the manufacturer with limited quantities. This pre
order offer has expired as of 04/28/06.

So I contacted NC Soft AGAIN and they told me to look aroud at local retailers for extra pre order keys. I live in the middle of nowhere, I have no local retailers, so I asked EB Games, and Gamestop through e-mail and have yet to receive an e-mail back confirming whether they can give me a preorder key or not.

I know it's a small thing to not have the preorder weapons, but from my point of view, not only did I not get what I had originally payed for, but I also had to wait almost an entire week to even begin playing Guild Wars: Factions, and then I had to go through all this hassle just to be told that I apparently didn't order soon enough and that there's no way someone from the game developers could possibly give me a key because the would obviously have no control over anything in the game.

So, my question is, does anyone know where I could possibly get a preorder key?

Aw man, tough break eh? I'd seriously help you out, but I gave my preorder key that came with CE to my guild leader a couple weeks ago because I already had bought the preorder disc. Sorry about that, bad timing huh? I'll keep an eye out for anyone else who has an extra key for you. For future advice, I've actually heard from two different Geek Squad employees not to preorder stuff from Best Buy because they apparently mess things like that up a lot.

You are SO in luck

I bought 6 preorders in case anyone else in my guild wanted to get the Tengu mask and have a couple left. I'll try to remember to PM you a preorder key tomorrow evening... I'm at school right now. You may want to PM / email me to remind me as I'm forgetful.

Same thing happened to me with EBGames. One side says A.Net messed up, the other says EB messed up. I was quite dissapointed, considering I spent $5 for it, but don't care much- my friend at EB Games gave me a factions shirt I'll never wear, but did allow me to transfer the PO to Titans Quest.

Hmmmm.... maybe I should try to sell the remaining 3 I have on eBay to recover the $ I spent....

That was why my order with Best Buy was cancelled.

After that, it was asked that they send the pre-order key or the order would get canceled. They canceled the order without even trying. Went with Amazon and saved ten bucks and goes a full pre-order kit and I even got the game a day before it was released. Yep, I got the game on the day of the Head Start at 1pm EST.

Two of my guildies pre-ordered and they NEVER got their pre-order keys either. I know they weren't happy about that at all. I really wish I could do something for them. :\

I think the issue was that some stores would confuse the pre order of the game with the pre order package.
